Columbia Police are investigating robberies near campus
A female student sitting in her car was robbed at 1:35 p.m. on Tuesday behind Greek Village on the 700 block of Catawba Street, WACH Fox reported.
The suspect approached her car, threatened bodily harm, demanded money and then fled from the area.
Another victim had her purse stolen at Stadium Suites about 15 minutes later by an individual matching the same description.
The suspect was wearing a dark, long-sleeve shirt, dark pants and a black “doo-rag.” Officers from the USC and Columbia Police Departments were unable to locate him.
The Columbia Police are currently searching for the suspect. The police do not know if these two incidents are related at this time.
