John Von Lehe was elected the new chairman of the USC Board of Trustees on Friday. The Board also elected members to its various committees, and Hubert Mobley was elected vice chairman.

Von Lehe is a USC alumni who has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 1998. In addition to his work with the board, he served as president of the S.C. Bar Foundation and sits on the boards of various other community organizations. He is taking the reins from longtime chairman Eugene P. Warr Jr., who has had the job since 2012.

Other members were also elected to the board's Executive Committee, as well as six other committees.

There are 21 members of the Board of Trustees, most of whom are elected by the General Assembly.
