UPDATED: Body found at Bull Street garage

A body of a man in his mid 30s was found in front of the Bull Street parking garage Sunday afternoon. The man was not a USC student, police say, and his death has been ruled a suicide.

An autopsy performed by Richland County Coroner Gary Watts found blunt force injuries to the head consistent with falling from the five-story garage and no evidence of foul play according to The State.

The identity of the man has not been released.

South Carolina Law Enforcement Division spokesman Thom Berry confirmed that the body was discovered on the sidewalk around 1:30 p.m.

SLED is in charge of the investigation as it heads up all cases involving a death on a university campus in South Carolina. It is working with USCPD and the Richland County Coroner's Office.
