None injured after deer collides with shuttle bus

No injuries occurred when a deer collided with a shuttle near Thomas Cooper Library around noon Friday, university officials say.

USC director of public relations Jeff Stensland said the driver was the only person aboard a university shuttle bus when a deer "ran into" it near the intersection of College and Sumter streets. Stensland said the animal ran toward Thomas Cooper Library immediately after.

According to Stensland, university officials notified animal control by 1 p.m. Friday. No incident report is yet available.
