USC's sports science programs were once again ranked number one in the United States by ShanghaiRanking's 2017 Global Ranking of Sport Science Schools and Departments.
The designation is not just for one specific program. It encompasses exercise science, athletic training, physical education and sport management programs within three of USC's colleges.
These programs within the Arnold School of Public Health, College of Education and College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management were also ranked number one in last year's rankings.
In addition to retaining their first place national ranking, the sports science programs were named fourth in the world. The ranking system looked at five years of data from 367 programs.
