Michelle Shorter, a fourth-year public relations student who worked as the Dance Marathon commitee's media relations, said she estimates around 900 people came to dance.
Dance Marathon raised $110,899.15 for the Palmetto Health Children's Hospital, Shorter said.
Ryan Wade, a third-year psychology student and overall director for the event, said the total number of registered dancers exceeded all past totals by over 300 people.
Emily Austin, a third-year advertising student, said she served as a morale captain.
"I think it all went great, everyone was so excited and the morale captains did a great job too," Austin said.
