After less than 7,800 students attended USC’s season opener against Florida Atlantic, more students have requested tickets and sat in the student section during the past two weeks, according to figures from USC’s Director of Student Services Anna Edwards.

10,401 tickets were distributed for Carolina’s win against Ole Miss, and 9,356 tickets were scanned in. That means more than 90 percent of the tickets requested were actually used.

“That’s great,” Edwards said. “During that game, we saw the most intensity from the student section I’ve seen in years. That’s why we fight for more tickets for students.”

During Saturday’s game against S.C. State, 9,910 tickets were requested, and 8,434 were scanned by students at the gates.

“That’s better than we had last year during the Tennessee game,” Edwards said.

For the students not using tickets, Edwards has a warning. If you no show for three games, ticketing privileges for the rest of the year are lost.
With games against Florida and Clemson on the horizon, she expects ticket requests to spike even more.
