Flyers detailing the court summons of a former graduate student's lawsuit against a USC professor, Harris Pastides and the university were posted in McMaster College on Monday morning on stairwell railings and hallways throughout the building. When USC ended segregation in 1963, Dr. Henrie Monteith Treadwell was one of the first of three African-American students to be admitted since Reconstruction, and on Tuesday she returned to the university to speak to students about the African-American experience and the importance of voting.

After raising $1,025,171 for the Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital at USC Dance Marathon's main event in 2018, the organization has set a new goal: $1,190,000. Their 2019 main event will take place on March 2, 2019 at the Strom Thurmond Wellness and Fitness Center.

Harris Pastides announced that he will step down from the USC presidency in July of next year. Pastides, who has held the position for a decade, made the decision public during his State of the University address on Wednesday on the Horseshoe.

USC PD confirmed that someone was taken to the hospital following an incident at Bull Street Garage on Oct. 2. Bull Street Garage was still open for parking but one stairwell was blocked off near the Gate One entrance just after 11 p.m. Tuesday.
