— An officer responded to a callbox activation at 3 a.m. on Oct. 16.  A man said four white men had harassed him and thrown glass bottles. The officer talked to the four men, who were on the corner of Greene and Pickens Street. The men, who were all identified as USC students, had blood on their clothes, and one had a red nose. They had all been drinking, and, when asked, they said they had been drinking beer.  All four were underage. The four men explained that they had been at Breakers in Five Points when 10 men tried to get in a fight with them. The student with the red nose was hit in the face by someone at the bar. Columbia Police Department was notified about the incident four hours earlier, but everyone involved fled by the scene before the police could take a report. The four men were arrested for minor in possession of beer.

— An officer responded to an alarm at the Byrnes building at 6:54 p.m. on Oct. 15. The officer saw someone walk away from the building’s entrance and walk towards the bicycle rack. The officer waited to see what the man would do next and then heard him start to urinate. He approached the man and told him to zip up his pants, and the man said he had been drinking alcohol and had slept outside of Byrnes the night before. He already had an active trespass warning for an incident from Apr. 29. The man was arrested for public disorderly conduct and trespass after notice.

— An officer observed an older man who did not seem to be associated with the university walking through the Columbia Hall parking lot in the middle of the afternoon Oct. 16. The man stated he was just passing through, but the officer ran his information anyway. He had an active trespass warning from an incident that occurred May 7, as well as an active arrest warning from Columbia Police Department. The man was arrested for trespass after notice.
