A USC student started a petition Monday urging the NCAA, SEC, ESPN and the university to change the kick-off time of the Nov. 28 matchup against in-state rival Clemson from 12 p.m. to a later time slot. Since the petition went online at approximately 5 p.m. Monday, it accumulated over 8,000 signatures in less than 24 hours.

Dozens of students took part in @USC2020Vision’s walkout to protest university inactivity on issues concerning marginalized groups at the university. The group, who had their protest plans revealed the night of Nov. 15 on social media, convened at the Longstreet Theatre at approximately 11 a.m. on Nov. 16. Most students dressed in black to show their support for the movement.
Student group USC 2020 Vision held a campus-wide walkout in November to protest university inaction on a variety of social issues, producing a list of 12 demands directed at university officials.
In an email sent out Friday to the student body, USC President Harris Pastides announced several university-wide initiatives that will combat racial tension, instances of prejudice and deal with inclusiveness issues on campus.
