Columbia's oldest continuously operating community theater, Town Theatre, is putting on its show "Driving Miss Daisy" for the first time Friday. Based around unlikely friendships, "Driving Miss Daisy" is a Pulitzer Prize-winning performance. It will run through Feb. 15.

Last summer, literary, visual and musical artists spent four days with Jasper Magazine and historical experts learning about the burning of Columbia that took place 150 years ago. The gallery "Art from the Ashes: Columbia Artists Respond to the Burning of Their City" is a collection of the works made by these more than 24 artists in a response to learning about Columbia's burning one and a half centuries ago.
