Nine Greek houses in quarantine, six Greek organizations charged with violations, 15 students suspended

USC announced today that six Greek organizations are charged with student conduct violations for hosting unauthorized parties and gatherings, and 15 students are under interim suspension.

Three more Greek Village houses have also been put into quarantine since last week, bringing the total to nine houses.

As of Aug. 27, there are 553 student coronavirus cases and four employee cases. The campus safety alert level increased from "new normal" to "low," meaning campus will be "open fully or partially with additional, elevated risk mitigation measures in place in targeted areas."

Saliva testing will become more widespread this week, with daily testing in various locations. On-demand testing can be found every weekday on Davis Field from 10 a.m. to noon for students. Testing will be offered at 650 Lincoln on Tuesday and Thursday 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for faculty and staff.

According to a press release, all student cases are asymptomatic or minor. No hospitalizations have been made.
