South Carolina football fifth-year edge rusher Kyle Kennard declared for the 2025 NFL Draft on Dec. 13, 2024. Kennard joined the Gamecocks in January 2024, where he used his last year of eligibility after spending the previous four years at Georgia Tech. During his time with the Yellow Jackets, he had 20 career starts out of 42 contests, where he had 115 career tackles and 12.5 sacks.

Raheim "Rocket" Sanders, a senior running back from South Carolina, declared for the 2025 NFL Draft on Dec. 19, drawing attention from scouts and analysts alike. South Carolina football head coach Shane Beamer's contract was extended through 2030 after leading the Gamecocks to a 9-4 season. The University of South Carolina board of trustees approved his $8.15 million yearly salary with a $100,000 increase annually. Beamer holds a 29-22 record, three bowl game appearances in four seasons, and won the 2021 Duke Mayo Bowl since arriving at South Carolina.
