Shots fired at Columbia home

Shots were fired at a home off Two Notch Road early Monday, WIS reports. Two people were inside the home on North Brickyard Road at the time, but no one was injured. Police are still investigating the incident.

Mentally challenged Greenville woman missing

Greenville police are searching for a mentally challenged woman who has been missing since Thursday, WLTX reports. The woman was last seen by her family when she left for a sleepover with a friend, but her mother reported her missing when she discovered the girl was with someone other than the friend. Police believe the girl might be in Georgia.

North Charleston mosquitoes test positive for West Nile 

Mosquitoes from the North Charleston area tested positive for West Nile virus Monday, The Post and Courier reports. The batch of mosquitoes were collected at the Naval Weapons Station. No human cases have been reported yet in connection with this group, though 213 cases have been reported throughout the country this year.
