HGTV bringing "Tiny Tailgating" to Williams-Brice

HGTV is bringing its own house to tailgate at Williams-Brice this Saturday, The State reports. South Carolina is the most recent stop on the television network's "Tiny Tailgate" tour. The house will be open for tours, food and photos for about four hours leading up to kickoff.

Legislators slow down state park repairs

A state legislative panel decided to not fast-track repairs to two coastal state parks, WIS reports. Legislators only approved the engineering phase of Hurricane Matthew related repairs at Edisto Beach and Hunting Island State Parks rather than the full construction processes. Officials say they decided this way so that there would be time to distribute funds fairly to all affected parks.

Person shot outside Two Notch Road night club

A bystander was shot outside a Columbia night club early Thursday, WLTX reports. Officials say the shooting began when a fight broke out outside Club Bliss and a suspect pulled a gun. The bystander was hit in the lower body. They are expected to survive, but were transported to local hospital.
