A woman was killed and a man was injured in a shooting that took place Wednesday night at 34 Burdock Circle, a location off of Shop Road, The State reported. The area is in the vicinity of off-campus housing locations The Retreat, The Woodlands and Copper Beech.
The man was transported in serious condition to Palmetto Richland Hospital. As of Wednesday night, police were unsure of the events that led to the shooting, but investigators were in the process of determining exactly what occurred, according to The State.
