A pipe ruptured on the south side of South Quad Monday night. The building suffered a loss of power and was evacuated.
Residents living on the north side of the building will be able to return to their rooms; however, the damage to the south side of the building is more extensive and requires that some students be relocated to different residence halls on campus, according to USC Housing.
USC Housing is providing pillows, sheets and bedspreads to the residents who are being relocated. Residents will be able to return to South Quad in order to “retrieve 72 hours worth of clothes and essential belongings."
