Many presidential candidates and their campaigns will be present in Columbia this week.
Senator Tim Kaine, the former governor of Virginia, will be speaking for Hillary Clinton in the Hollings Special Collections Library on Monday at noon.
Bernie Sanders will be speaking in the Russell House Theater on Tuesday, according to USC Campus Coordinator for the Bernie Sanders Campaign and second-year political science student Megan Taylor. Doors will open at 10 a.m. and the event will start at 11:30 a.m. The event is hosted by the USC College Democrats and the Bernie Sanders Presidential Campaign. Students must have a CarolinaCard to enter, and due to limited seating there might be an overflow area for students to watch on a live stream.
Ted Cruz will be holding a rally at the Columbia Armory on Tuesday at 3 p.m. He will be joined by Governor Rick Perry and representative Jeff Duncan.
