Student Body President Taylor Wright laid out his expectations for his new staff, including goals for improved collaboration and increased transparency, at the first meeting of the new Student Government executive cabinet late Tuesday night.
Wright set a a vision for more streamlined processes within his cabinet, focusing on constant communication to improve weekly meetings. As a way to be more transparent, Wright wants his staff to see more of what's going on around campus by getting out and supporting more campus events.
Cabinet members broke into groups and spent the meeting discussing how they can individually help Student Government achieve Wright's top goals, which also include improving the quality of the student experience, promoting diversity and inclusion, encouraging student involvement in the community and advocating for strong student leadership.
