Three additional Greek Village houses in quarantine

Three additional Greek Village houses are in quarantine as of Thursday. This brings the total to five of 20 houses in Greek Village in quarantine.

Students who test positive have the option to isolate in Bates West or return home. The houses are in quarantine for 14 days. Houses are placed in quarantine after three or more residents test positive with the coronavirus.

On Monday, Chi Omega and Tri Delta were the first houses to be put in quarantine.

President Bob Caslen announced at the board of trustees meeting that there are 380 active coronavirus cases. This is a 191 case increase.

After hosting large parties, four Greek organizations are also under interim suspension. No other organizations are under interim suspension, according to university spokesperson Jeff Stensland.
