Playlist: Celebrating Black history through music

As January comes to a close, we welcome February with open arms, as it represents an important aspect of our world’s evolution, Black history.

Black History Month can be shown and celebrated through many different traditions, such as food, literature and music. A bridge has been created from the past to the present by music and Black artists who have undoubtedly built a foundation for all musicians to build upon.

Whether you have heard these songs briefly, have them on every playlist you make or experience them for the first time today, remember who created them. Take this month, and those to come, to appreciate all Black artists and how they have impacted the music industry.
