PHOTOS: 2022 Gamecock Invitational

The Gamecocks men's club volleyball team hosted a home tournament at Upward Star Volleyball Center on Nov. 12, 2022. Kennesaw State, University of Georgia, Coastal Carolina, University of Elon, College of Charleston, University of North Carolina Charlotte and Upward Star Club played the three Gamecocks club teams in pool and tournament play. The Gamecocks' three feature teams were the A team, the Garnet team and the Black team. The A team went 6-0 in pool play, but fell to the Star Club team in the Gold Bracket final. The Garnet team went 3-3 in pool play, and after a strong start against Coastal Carolina A, they fell just short in the first round of the Gold Bracket. As for the Black team, they went 5-1 in pool play, with their only loss being a split against Georgia A. In tournament play they saw a strong 25-20 win against UNCC A, but in a match against their own A team, fell short in a 2-0 match loss. Gamecock men's club volleyball see 3-5 tournaments in their Fall offseason, and compete in ECVA matches throughout the Spring.
