PHOTOS: Classes canceled, fans welcome home women's basketball National Champions at Colonial Life Arena

Thousands gathered at Colonial Life Arena on Monday, April 8, 2024 to welcome the 2024 National Champion South Carolina women's basketball team back to Columbia following the team’s 87-75 victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes in the final round of the NCAA Women's Tournament on Sunday afternoon. University of South Carolina President Michael Amiridis sent out a mass email to the university announcing the cancellation of all classes beginning between 1 p.m and 3:15 p.m. to allow students, faculty and staff to attend the celebration.
