PHOTOS: Gamecock women's tennis claims 2 wins in weekend opener

The Gamecock women's tennis team kicked off its 2023-24 season with a 2-0 record after defeating the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers and Presbyterian Blue Hoses on Jan. 21, 2024. Juniors Sarah Hamner and Misa Malkin performed claimed a 6-3 doubles victory against the Chanticleers. Graduate student Ayana Akli secured a win in her singles match, 6-3, 5-0, and graduate student Elise Mills also dominated her singles match, going 6-0, 6-1. South Carolina will hit the road next to take on the University of Arizona in Athens, Georgia, on Jan. 26, 2024.
