With Halloween festivities in full swing at USC and students ready to celebrate, the library decided to join the fun. The Ernest F. Hollings Special Collections Library, located at the back of the Thomas Cooper Library, hosted a screening of three different "Frankenstein" films as part of its celebration of the Mary Shelley classic turning 200 years old.

Bumblebees, cancer and political chaos might appear to be unrelated, but to artists Jodi Lightner and Adrian Rhodes, all demonstrate a dominant theme in life. And although the theme is sometimes depressing, the "Framing Interference" exhibition currently on display at the McMaster Gallery in the School of Visual Art and Design shows it through the use of the artists' vibrant and dazzlingly colorful artwork.

With its sparkling neon lights, the South Carolina State Fair boasts a skyline akin to Las Vegas rather than Columbia. And the fair's "college night" tradition brings crowds of USC students, as well as other area college students, under the lights.
