“Would you like to come in for a cup of tea?" Adam McGalpine asked. I was immediately struck by his genuine charm and hospitality. I wasn’t really sure how to accept such an unusual offer and was still very distracted by his beautiful coat and leather shoes. He appeared as though he was attending a business meeting with someone much more important than me.

Sadly, the retro queen Lana Del Rey only has so many tracks you can play on loop before you drive yourself and all of your friends crazy. Thankfully, I have a solution. Zella Day, a singer-songwriter originally from Arizona, has the same indie-pop feel, and I bet you’ve barely delved into her repertoire.

One of the many is coed a cappella group Cockappella, founded in 2008 by Bobby Arcovio. Today, president and fourth-year political science student Alex James hopes the group can jam its way into the International Championship for Collegiate A Cappella (yes, like in “Pitch Perfect”) for a third time. Although advancing to the finals would be a rewarding experience, James stressed that just competing together as a group and performing is its own reward.

If the name "Fashion Board" doesn't mean anything to you, that's okay — it’s an intentionally broad name for a diverse organization. The idea is that students interested in anything fashion
can narrow it down themselves, with help and mentoring
along the way.
