Rakym Felder’s story at the University of South Carolina is one of unbelievable highs and ultimately, devastating lows. With men's basketball head coach Frank Martin and Felder confirming that he would not be a part of the 2018-2019 Gamecock men’s basketball team, Felder’s career in garnet came to its unceremonious close. The final low of his roller coaster of a career, Felder will leave behind both a complicated and beloved legacy.

Senior guard Lindsey Spann's career at USC will end a month early. Just before the women's basketball game Sunday, the team announced Spann would be out for the reaminder of the 2017-2018 season due to knee injuries. A grad transfer from Penn State, Spann provided veteran knowledge and leadership, and the Gamecocks will surely miss her three-point shooting.

After defeating Georgia on Jan. 14, South Carolina secured its second SEC win of the season and looked like a team intent on improving its issues. The win was absolutely massive from a mental standpoint, and the Gamecocks will look to build upon it moving into a tough stretch.
