It’s been a rough year for the presidential cabinet. After a slew of firings and resignations, the turnover rate of Trump’s White House is starting to look like that of your average McDonald’s. However, one member of this band of failed cabinet members has risen above the controversy and successfully re-entered public life without completely ruining her career. Her name is Omarosa Manigault.

The Student Government Elections Commission ruled Monday night against presidential candidate Tommy DiBona and vice presidential candidate Madi Carzon, a decision DiBona said they're definitely planning to appeal to the Constitutional Council. They each received five points, half of the 10 a campaign can be earn before removal, for violating the Student Government election code prohibiting campaign rallies or special events during the first week of campaigning.

By 2022, two shinier buildings capable of housing 1,422 students will stand on their property, with any trace of Scott King's old residence hall permanently wiped from the grounds.

April 16, 2007 was a cold, snowy day on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, Virginia, and Kristina Anderson was running late. She walked into Norris Hall to the second floor, found her classroom, located an empty seat and sat in the back-right corner of her intermediate French class. She was one of the last to walk into the building before the doors to every exit were chained shut by a shooter.

I stood in a queue at the Russell House hot line just past 11 a.m. on Wednesday, anticipating the same thing I'd seen every Wednesday since I started at USC in 2015: chicken fingers. The tradition proudly upheld at the university, Chicken Finger Wednesday, was and still is nothing short of a staple of student life.

The South Carolina football team will hit the road to open SEC play against Missouri at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Faurot Field. Sports reporter Charlie Clarke, who covers Missouri football and basketball for the Associated Press, was present at the Tigers’ season-opening win over Missouri State. The Daily Gamecock sports staff caught up with Clarke to get his observations on the game and to preview the upcoming USC-Missouri matchup.
