Gamecocks sign former Alabama running back

South Carolina picked up a commitment from ex-Alabama running back Tyren Jones on Sunday. As a freshman at Alabama in 2014, Jones picked up 224 yards on just 36 carries, backing up 2015 Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry.

Panthers hungry to advance in playoffs

The almost flawless 16-1 Carolina Panthers will host the 14-3 Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship game on Sunday at 6:40 p.m. This is not the first time these two teams have met in the playoffs.

As the South Carolina men’s basketball team rattled off 15 straight wins to begin the season, media members and college basketball fans alike were convinced that the Gamecocks were undefeated simply for having not played a true tournament contender. Following Wednesday’s 73-50 road loss to Alabama, the non-believers have more reasons to write this team off as a pretender, rather than a contender. Don’t jump ship, at least not yet.
