The No. 1 South Carolina women's basketball team picked up its eighth conference tournament title in the past decade in a 79-72 win over no. 8 LSU. Tensions between the two teams came to a high when with two minutes left in the fourth quarter, multiple players were ejected due to an altercation between players. LSU and South Carolina had three players each on their bench ejected for leaving the bench area. Gamecock senior center Kamilla Cardoso was disqualified for fighting. Despite the tense end to the game, freshman guard MiLaysia Fulwiley showcased her offensive skill with a career-high scoring display.
