Standout South Carolina track and field athletes qualify for Olympic Trials: 'This is definitely a moment you dream of as an athlete'

Standout athletes on the South Carolina track and field team have the opportunity to represent both the Gamecocks and their country after qualifying for the Olympic Trials. The freshman pair of sprinters JaMeesia Ford and Nyck Harbor and senior thrower Dylan Taggart look to take their skills to the next level after a successful outdoor track season.

Softball pitcher makes mark in 1st collegiate season

Pitching has been a hallmark of the South Carolina softball team's success this season, as it has accumulated a 1.84 earned run average through 44 contests. Much of that production has come from pitcher Sage Mardjetko, who is in the midst of her first collegiate campaign.
