M. Night Shyamalan’s latest production is just as chilling as any of his previous movies and shows. “Wayward Pines” is an upcoming Fox mini-series based on the novel “Pines” by Blake Crouch, and it stars several familiar faces, including Matt Dillon, Terrence Howard and Shannyn Sossamon.

Netflix’s version of “Daredevil” is an exciting take on
Marvel’s city-saving vigilante. With a gloomier tone than any other hit series on Netflix, "Daredevil" is intense, violent and ruthless, which just makes it that much more enticing.

Sometimes TV shows can last 10 years, season after season, but what about those that are canceled after just a few short years? There are a number of shows that were just gone too soon, leaving us curious about how the plot would have developed.

It's time to burn out your cigars and bottle up your scotch. This past Sunday evening at 10 p.m. EST, television audiences witnessed the beginning of the end of an era of "Mad Men" (the ad men, their mad wives and their many mistresses) with the airing of the first episode of the AMC drama's final half-season.

People love to talk about food, especially college students. But, for some reason, it’s so hard for these same people — people who will gleefully tell you about their two bagels with shmear for breakfast and their personal pizza for dinner — to talk about eating disorders.

Hosted by MTV’s very own Matthew Broussard, USC’s annual
Student Comedy Competition took place in the Russell House theater Monday night hosting by
Carolina Productions. Featuring eight student contestants competing for the votes of audience
members, this year’s show was full of raunchy humor, wit and showmanship.

“Justified” has long been the underrated drama of
television’s Golden Age. It mixes drama and humor as expertly as “Breaking Bad”
or “Mad Men” and spins season-long arcs with the best of them, but, coming into
its sixth and final season, the show is still under the radar. It’s a shame,
because it’s doing something that most TV dramas don’t: ending the right way.

Comedy Central’s edgiest Brooklyn-based broads are
officially back in full force as of the premiere of “Broad City” Wednesday
night. With fellow irreverent comedies “Workaholics” and “It’s Always Sunny in
Philadelphia” also premiering Wednesday, “Broad City” had some tough acts
to follow. Despite the odds, this season opener was a homerun.

When making a TV show about Gotham City without Batman, there’s a right way and a wrong way of doing it — you can tell a more down-to-earth story using Batman’s themes, or you can make a gimmicky ripoff.

WIS viewers protest anchor’s dismissal
Demonstrators gathered outside of the WIS-TV building on Gervais Street Friday to protest the release of news anchor Ben Hoover.
Supporters of Hoover also rallied on social media following his departure, bringing discussions to Twitter and launching a petition to “Keep Ben Hoover”.
The station released a statement Sunday to calm viewers. WIS declined to discuss the reasons why Hoover’s contract with the station was not renewed, calling Hoover’s release a “private personnel matter”.
Despite the backlash, station leadership told The State that WIS has already begun the search for a replacement anchor.
