Best Grocery Store: Publix Super Market

With its fresh produce, friendly workers and location that is convenient to the University campus, it’s easy to see why Publix has been voted “Best Grocery Store” by USC students for the second year. Customer service, cleanliness and shelves that remain fully stocked are just a few of the reasons Chris Shuttleworth, a customer service worker, gives for what separates Publix from other grocery stores in the area.

“I shop there because it’s close to campus, and it has really good fresh produce that goes on sale almost every other day,” Angela Lee, a fourth-year pre-med and studio art student, said.  “It also doesn’t hurt that the first thing you smell when you walk in are the giant cinnamon rolls in the bakery.”

Lee enjoys the hospitable atmosphere the workers provide and said, “They usually come up and ask if you need help finding something instead of you having to hunt someone down to help you.”

USC students appreciate Publix’s wide variety of groceries, its bakery and many organic options.  All these qualities together make Publix a top choice to fulfill all students’ grocery needs.
