Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band to play Williams-Brice

Show set for May 4, tickets go on sale Dec. 7

Kenny Chesney is bringing his “No Shoes Nation” tour to Williams-Brice Stadium May 4, proving that Darius Rucker isn’t the only country act who can rock on the football field.

South Carolina’s capital city is serving up some of country’s hottest stars in 2013, with two hot tours hitting Columbia in the spring.

Colonial Life Arena announced Chesney’s tour, which includes Zac Brown Band as a co-headliner and Eli Young Band and Kacey Musgraves on the bill as openers, late last week as well as another hot ticket show.

The “Locked and Reloaded” tour, featuring Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley and opening act Lee Brice, will roll into Columbia on Jan. 17.

Seats for Lambert’s show go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Prices are $27 and $51.75. Tickets can be purchased online through lmctix.com, by phone at 855-4-LMC-TIX or in person at Play It Again Sports or the Colonial Life Arena box office. USC students can pay with their CarolinaCards at the arena box office.

Tickets for Chesney’s tour go on sale Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. Prices have yet to be determined.

If you can’t wait for the new year to get your country on, singer Eric Church’s “Blood, Sweat & Beers” tour hits the Colonial Life Arena on Nov. 30.

Church will be joined by Justin Moore and Kip Moore. Tickets are still available and range in price from $37.50 to $47.50.
