Disney Live! Mickey and Minnie's Doorway to Magic

Whether there are kids in your life that you need to entertain or you are just a kid at heart, check out "Disney Live! Mickey and Minnie's Doorway to Magic" at the Colonial Life Arena at 7 p.m. Indulge in your child-like fantasies and watch your favorite Disney characters perform magic tricks — or see if you can figure them out yourself. Tickets are available for purchase on ticketmaster.com, at the box office, or by phone.

"Falling: A Choral Drama"

The Sandlapper Singers and USC voice faculty will be performing "Falling," a choral drama based on an epic poem about a stewardess who fell out of a Piedmont Airplane in 1962. The event will take place at the USC School of Music Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for general admission but only $10 for students.

Deckle Edge Literary Festival

Kicking off on Friday and continuing through the Sunday, the Deckle Edge Literary Festival is a weekend-long celebration of all things involving writing and reading. Cromer's Magic Show

On Saturday professional magician John Tudor will hold a magic show at Cromer's, Columbia's local popcorn shop. Two shows will take place, one starting at 10 a.m. and the other at 2 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase at eventbrite.com.

JDRF One Walk

The JDRF One Walk is the largest Type 1 Diabetes event in the world. The Columbia chapter of this two mile walk will take place at River Bluff HIgh School, with check-in starting at 1 p.m. and the race beginning at 2:30 p.m. Register online in preparation for the walk.

Scapin

Attend this Sunday matinee at the Longstreet Theatre, and support the theatre department at USC. Written by Bill Irwin and Mark O'Donnell and adapted from Moliere, "Scapin" will provide an evening of laughter and good fun for all of its attendees. The play will begin at 3 p.m. Tickets are $12 for students and can be purchased at the box office or over the phone.
