Five players suspended indefinitely from men's basketball team

Just hours before tip-off in game one of NIT, five of USC men's basketball players have been suspended indefinitely.

“TeMarcus Blanton, Eric Cobb, Jamall Gregory, Chris Silva and Marcus Stroman have been suspended indefinitely from the team due to a conduct issue,” coach Frank Martin said in a statement to Gamecocks Online.

The State's David Cloninger reports that the suspension leaves the team with ten active players headed into Tuesday's matchup against High Point. This includes Michael Carrera, who is still battling a hip injury, and John Ragin, who has recently missed multiple games due to illness.

UPDATE: John Ragin was unavailable for the game against High Point due to illness, but Carrera was able to play.
