Women's basketball at South Carolina dominates the school's sports landscape, and for good reason, given its continued success. That dominance also takes shape within club sports, with the Gamecock club women's basketball team taking home its second national championship in three seasons.

The WNBA has agreed to a new collective bargaining agreement with its players, and the league's best are reaping the rewards. A variety of former Gamecocks have received record-setting paydays, with the league's two highest-paid players both coming from South Carolina.

Madina Okot denied additional year of eligibility

South Carolina's starting senior center Madina Okot won't return for the 2026-27 season after being denied an additional year of eligibility. The Gamecocks will be without Okot's 10.6 rebounds per game in next season's campaign.
