A woman died of smoke inhalation sustained from a fire at the Plantation Court Apartments Sunday night.True Dent Henderson, 80, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The fire started around 11 p.m. on the 200 block of South Saluda Ave. off of Rosewood Drive. According to officials, heavy fire and smoke were present upon arrival. Five residents from the four apartments affected have been displaced, including a USC student.
