The contract for new football assistant coach John Scott, Jr. was approved by the executive and governance committee on Jan. 22.
Scott is moving from the University of Arkansas where he served as their defensive tackles coach. He will work as defensive line coach at South Carolina as well as assistant coach.
The contract will last from Jan. 22, 2019 to May 31, 2020 with an annual base salary of $435,000. Bonuses may be given for post-season play and SEC championships.
