The Gamecocks came out prepared to play despite their match being moved up a day due to predicted storms in the Columbia area on Sunday.

South Carolina's only senior, Yancy Dennis, was honored for Senior Day prior to the match. Dennis has a record of 11-14.

The Tigers had a 14-5 overall record and were 2-4 in the SEC going into Saturday's match.
