The new desegregation monument sits in front of the McKissick Museum on the University of South Carolina Horseshoe after being unveiled on April 19, 2024. The monument honors Henrie Monteith Treadwell, Robert Anderson and James Solomon Jr. as the first three black students to enroll at the university since reconstruction in 1963.
