With the ball moving past the batter, sophomore catcher Cole Messina holds his glove up ready to catch it. The Gamecocks played the Fighting Quakers on Feb. 24, 2023, at Founders Park in a three-game series. Messina not only was the catcher for most of the first game but also played at bat, hitting a home run to make the final score 7-4.
