Members of the community march toward the South Carolina Statehouse before the King Day at the Dome event on Jan. 15, 2024. The annual event starts with a church service commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at Zion Baptist Church and transitions to the South Carolina Statehouse where civil rights leaders, state representatives and national leaders give speeches commemorating Dr. King and his continued legacy for equality.
