Terence Young's daughter, Vanessa, was prescribed Prepulsid for a stomach issue, and Prepulsid was the same drug that ended up killing her in 2000. Since that day, it has been Young's mission to bring drug safety to the general population's attention. On Oct. 30 in the Law School, Young brought his mission to USC.

A common motto for UN volunteers is “Global Goals, Local Leaders”, a theme that was apparent at the State House when the South Carolina UN Association came together to celebrate the ratification of the UN Charter. Students from USC, USC Upstate and Clemson University lined the sidewalks in booths with assigned UN sustainable development goals ranging from clean energy to equity in education.

This year's Homecoming has already been host to a series of events including cultural fairs, Spurs in Struts and a special Homecoming edition of Hip-Hop Wednesday. These events are designed to let students express pride in their school as well as meet new people and enjoy some well-earned time off from class. With these events in the past, there are still more to come, giving students plenty of time to enjoy USC's Homecoming of 2017.

Barring any delays in the construction of Campus Village, Bates House will be 51 years old when the wrecking ball arrives in 2020, Bates West a younger 46. By 2022, two shinier buildings capable of housing 1,422 students will stand on their property, with any trace of Scott King's old residence hall permanently wiped from the grounds.
