This August upperclassman Capstone Fellows will be moving into the apartments at 820 Henderson St. where the French House currently stands. The French House will transition to the French Living and Learning Community and join the Spanish and International Living and Learning Communities in Maxcy College.

More than 40 tables representing cultural student organizations and study abroad programs lined the street as music from a number of cultures played. At one point, a group of Japanese students — including a student dressed in a vibrant yellow unitard, a feather boa and Pikachu ears — performed a precisely choreographed dance number.

Professional dance companies from all over South Carolina took the Koger Center stage with flying colors Friday as a part of the first South Carolina Festival of Dance. A particularly large audience gathered to see what USC’s Board of Dance member Gillian Albrecht called “a bringing together of some of the greatest dance talent in the state of South Carolina.”

North Myrtle Beach's House of Blues played host to indie folk bands Bright Eyes and First Aid Kit on Wednesday, Sept. 7. Bright Eyes has been touring the country over the past few months in support of the band's February album "The People's Key" with bands such as the Mountain Goats and Dr. Dog, but First Aid Kit joined the tour on Sept. 5 in Baltimore, as Bright Eyes began snaking down the East Coast.
