The No. 1 South Carolina women’s basketball team defeated its in-state rivals Clemson 109-40. Sophomore guard Raven Johnson came within one assist of a school record, and freshman guard MiLaysia Fulwiley recorded her third double-figure scoring game in the win.
"The Battle of the Gamecocks" comes to Columbia for the first time, with South Carolina looking to get back in the win column and save its season. South Carolina sits at 2-6 with Jacksonville State looking to play spoiler and prevent South Carolina from bowl eligibility for the first time under Shane Beamer.
The South Carolina Gamecocks will look to simultaneously repeat last years success and snap a three-game losing streak against Texas A&M. Both teams are coming off a string of losses as they look to rebound in SEC play.
