The No. 19 South Carolina baseball team improved to 8-1 on the season in its midweek matchup against Gardner-Webb on Tuesday. The Gamecocks were patient at the plate, scoring more runs than hits and using its pitching to shut the door on the Runnin' Bulldogs. The Gamecocks will now look to the weekend, where it will play in-state rival Clemson in its first ranked matchup of the season.
