While some are eager to throw away the old in order to embrace the new, Olympia and Granby Mills combine modern living with historical elegance. Voted “Best Off-Campus Living,” the historic cotton mills of the 1800s now feature granite counter tops and spacious lofts.
These amenities and the mills’ proximity to campus attracted Master’s of Mass Communication candidate Alexandra Generales and her sisters to the Olympia Mills property.
“It is a great place to live because of the size of the apartments and the way that buildings lay out,” she said. “The amenities are awesome. I don’t think anything, apartment-wise, compares to it.”
Generales also noted how easy it is to socialize at Olympia.
“It is so easy to meet people and the indoor hallways and hang-out spaces really encourage people to meet,” she said.
