The South Carolina men’s basketball team will hold open tryouts in two weeks to fill positions on its scout team, according to an email sent across the student body Tuesday afternoon from the USC student ticketing system.
The tryouts will take place in the USC Practice Facility, next to the Coliseum and the Strom Thurmond Wellness and Fitness Center, on Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 6 a.m. until 8 a.m.
They must also have no lower than a 2.5 cumulative GPA; no student conduct violations; and must be available to practice from 3:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, as well as weekends when necessary.
Students selected for the scout team will only participate in team practices. They will not dress out for any games or travel with the team.
