Ta'Quan Woodley (left) and Wildens Leveque (right) have entered the transfer portal following the departure of former South Carolina men's basketball head coach Frank Martin.

Two more South Carolina men's basketball players entered the transfer portal over the weekend, South Carolina Athletics confirmed.

Freshman forward Ta'Quan Woodley and junior forward Wildens Leveque become the third and fourth Gamecocks to enter the transfer portal since the departure of former head coach Frank Martin.

The two officially join guards Erik Stevenson and Jermaine Couisnard in the portal.

Woodley appeared in 26 games for the Gamecocks this season. He averaged 12 minutes, two points and three rebounds.

He was a three-star recruit ranked eighth in the state of New Jersey out of Camden High School and chose the Gamecocks over Georgia and St John’s.

“With Coach Martin moving on in his career, I feel that I need to explore my options and identify a situation that best suits my needs. Hence, I have decided to enter the transfer portal. I look forward to talking to coaches and finding a new basketball home,” Woodley said on his Twitter account Saturday.

A day after Woodley announced his intention to transfer, Leveque was also confirmed to be in the portal.

Leveque started all but one of the 29 games he appeared in. He played a large role in the Gamecocks offense as the primary big. He averaged seven points and five rebounds a game this season.

Entering the portal does not guarantee Leveque or Woodley will leave the program. They will connect with other schools and make a decision on what they feel is best for their career.

Currently, the Gamecocks have potentially six players from last year's team leaving the program. On top of the four in the transfer portal, two graduate students — guard James Reese V and forward AJ Wilson — have used all of their eligibility.

More roster turnover may occur while new head coach Lamont Paris builds his squad and the team's current players weigh their options.
